About Us
Design-Able Travel's philosophy is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs.
Hi, I am Fiona Smith, the owner of Design-Able Travel based in Wellington, New Zealand.
I am 47 years old, a wife and a stepmother to two boys aged 13 and 15, an ex-nurse and a person with Multiple Sclerosis. I spend a lot of time in a wheelchair, am visually impaired but most importantly I am an avid traveller. My youngest has mild cerebral palsy but still wants to do everything his father and brother do. As a family we plan our holidays to focus on the inclusion of the four of us, in all activities. The result is we have had lots of great experiences and have learned the art of adaptation. In our family we spell can't..... TRY!
My aim is to help families, for whom disability is an issue, to plan holidays that meet the needs of the whole family.
The Design-Able Travel Requirements Report I will compile for you will allow you to convey to your travel agent, in a complete and concise format, all special requirements that need to be met. These needs can relate to any aspect of your travel i.e. transport, accomadation, diet, activities etc. The report will also give you suggestions on equipment you may like to purchase or hire where appropriate.
Design-Able Travel would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service possible.
Regards Fiona
